We are currently looking for a Grant Manager:

Summary/Objective of Grant Manager 

Working closely with the Development Director, the Grant Manager is responsible for identifying grant prospects and writing grants that lead to successful asks.  

 Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Develop and write grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating Hope Clinic’s mission and programs to potential funders; 

  1. Assemble and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations; 

  1. Establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with foundation contacts and program officers; 

  1. Maintain calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports; 

  1. Ensure prompt acknowledgment of grant/foundation gifts; 

  1. Conduct prospect research; 

  1. Prioritize projects to keep multiple projects moving promptly, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals 

 Skills/Qualifications 

  • Experienced grant writer with a proven track record of success; 

  • Proven ability to work autonomously, to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, ability to interact with a variety of important audiences, including volunteers, major donors, prospects, and board members. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively, formally and informally across the organization. 

  • Coordinate tasks with attention to deadlines, concurrent management of projects and ability to create and follow a set strategy of goals and objectives. 

  • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate ideas, thoughts, and facts in writing; 

  • Strong interpersonal skills; 

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and services including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, and SharePoint, the web-based collaborative platform that integrates with Microsoft Office.  

 Reports to the Director of Development. 

 15 hr/wk position.  Hours tbd
