Welcome to the V.I.P. Zone!

Volunteer Information Portal

On this page, you’ll get to know Hope Clinic. You’ll see how joining our volunteer workforce makes a difference for our neighbors in need. We invite you to explore and get excited about your part in providing a haven of help and healing to the community.

Don’t worry—when your volunteer application is processed and you are placed, you’ll get a complete orientation for the specific program area you’ll be working in. But in the meantime, everyone who volunteers with Hope Clinic should watch these videos, and get a basic overview of being a part of Hope.
Every volunteer has a Very Important Part to play in making lives better!

What to Expect Next:

Hope Clinic is shifting from VSP to Better Impact for our volunteer onboarding and management. Please pardon our dust as we transition to this new system!

If you applied applied to volunteer in the Medical clinic:
Your application will be routed to our Medical Clinic team, who will reach out to you directly about any clinical volunteering options that arise which may be a good fit for you. At that point, an interview process would be the next step and would include assessing the best volunteer options that may be available, at which point a schedule and training/onboarding plan will be developed for you. In the meantime, you are also welcome to explore other volunteering options like clinic admin support, Food Program, or Lobby Runner shifts at our Ypsilanti location which can be a great way to get acclimated to our operations and patient population. (Just reach out to volunteer@thehopeclinic.org if you would like to try these other type of shifts.)

If you applied to volunteer in Dental:
Your application will be routed to our Dental Clinic team, who will reach out directly about any clinical volunteering options that arise which may be a good fit for you. An interview process would be the next step and would include assessing the best volunteer options that may be available, at which point a schedule and training/onboarding plan will be developed for you. Dental professionals also have the option of seeing Hope patients pro bono in their own practices.

If you applied to volunteer in Behavioral Health:
Your application will be routed to our Behavioral Health team, who will reach out directly about any volunteering options that arise within our Behavioral Health operations which may be a good fit for you. An interview process would be the next step and would include assessing the best volunteer options that may be available, at which point a schedule and training/onboarding plan will be developed for you.

NOTE: Sometimes an application will catch our attention because of a special interest or skill you listed. Our needs are always changing, and we may reach out with a project or opportunity that isn’t what you applied for, but we think would be a fit for your skills or interests!
