The road construction continues this week with curbing, sidewalk and complete on the south side of the street.

Work continues with electrical work (new flashing beacons and street lights) along with final road bed grading to prepare for the installation of new asphalt.

Traffic will continue to be one way, routed west bound. So once again, the only way to access Hope continues to be from Michigan Ave. Take Hamilton St. southbound. Turn right onto Harriet on the newly paved asphalt to Hope.

From I-94, the Huron St. exit, turn left onto the new pavement on Harriet.

Perry St. has now re opened, although only a single lane. Heavy construction equipment occupies the other lane.

When leaving, again the street is one way westbound. Travel on the new asphalt. Harriet is open westbound all the way to First Ave. (including the intersection of Harriet and Hawkins).

The good news is that soon the road will begin to look close to complete, and therefore easier to navigate.

Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
